A Children’s Services case worker from Gallatin has been reassigned to a position in which she does not work with children after being arrested for aggravated assault and having police take away custody of her own child.

  1. This story never made the news channels. What will it take before The state of Tennessee opens its eyes to the fact that all her children need to be removed from the home. This woman is totally unfit to raise her own children let alone be in any situation where she is around others kids. Venables toddler daughter was still in the car that she used to drag her husband across a parking lot with and is still in Venables home. Currently no charges have been placed on Venable for endangering the child that was in a car seat that the husband was hanging onto as she drug him. What a disgrace. How thoughtless and uncaring for her childs safety.
    Keep her away from our kids too. Wake up Tennessee.

    5. Factors to consider when recommending disciplinary action include, but are not limited to, the following:
    a) Employee’s position, duties and responsibilities;
    b) Media coverage of the incident;
    c) Outcome of any internal investigation;
    d) Client (child and family) awareness of and reaction to the incident;
    e) Other employees’ knowledge and reaction;
    f) Public knowledge and reaction;
    g) Employee’s work record, including prior disciplinary history;
    h) Whether the alleged conduct involved moral turpitude;
    i) Any unusual circumstances surrounding the incident; and
    j) Any violent conduct towards others.
    6. Concealment of an arrest, indictment and/or conviction (including a pre-trial diversion, plea of nolo contendre or a conditional guilty plea) is grounds for disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
    7. An indication of child abuse against an employee will be grounds for

    I see at least 5 areas that call for termination of this woman.
    It appears to me The state of Tennessee is extremely concerned with bad PR. It states a couple of times about media coverage, what public thinks etc...
