Stressors and coping strategies in child protection services
The decisions child welfare officers make are complicated and are based partly on their own investigations, partly on cooperation with, and experience of, other local government officers. "My master's thesis shows that even the more experienced child welfare officers are uncertain about what decisions are the correct ones in individual cases," says Arve Lerum at the Nordic School of Public Health (NHV).
Good enough for the Baby Stealers. They must be stressed just thinking about how many people they've pushed over the edge and how many of those people will retaliate. How's it feel? Let's turn it up a few more notches. Let's see how much stress they can endure before they lose their sanity. Oh, that's right, they already have! What sane person would steal another person's children?
