November is National Adoption Month | National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges:
The NCJFCJ is proud to support National Adoption Month. Each year, an average of 400,000 children are in foster care. National Adoption Month, an initiative of the Children's Bureau in partnership with AdoptUSKids and Child Welfare Information Gateway, is a time to raise awareness about the adoption of children and youth from foster care. The focus of this year's initiative is National Adoption Month—Virtually: Adoption in the Digital Age. The Children's Bureau is supporting a website that provides resources for child welfare professionals, prospective adoptive parents, and youth on topics such as getting started with social media, how to build a social media campaign, and how social media is impacting child welfare and adoption.
