LANSING, MI - Biological fathers could have paternity rights if the mother was married to someone else at the time of the birth under legislation signed Tuesday by Gov. Rick Snyder.
Another new law he signed changes how children are removed from the custody of their parents - a response to fallout from a 2008 case in which a 7-year-old boy was placed into protective care after his dad accidentally gave him a Mike's Hard Lemonade at a Detroit Tigers game.
