PORTLAND, Ore. — The state of Oregon has agreed to pay $300,000 to a family whose complaint about an investigation by child protection workers went before the U.S. Supreme Court last year.
The family lawyer and an Oregon Department of Justice spokesman confirmed the out-of-court settlement was reached last month. It was first reported by KTVZ, a Bend television station.
