Two teenage girls who went on the run after their foster mother was killed have been charged with her murder.
Evelyn Miranda, 53, who was specially trained to take in troubled youths, was found dead of apparent asphyxiation, according to police.
The two 15-year-old girls, named as Alexis Shields and Desiree Linares, disappeared along with the woman's van from her home in San Patricio in the Hondo Valley, New Mexico.
