OMAHA — The mother of an infant undergoing medical treatment for a rare form of leukemia rushes her baby to the doctor when she won’t stop crying. The child has a broken leg, likely because chemotherapy made the bones brittle. But the state of Nebraska takes away all the mother’s children.
