The Times Editorial: The court appearance today of the Pretoria FOSTER family arrested last week on allegations of child pornography has raised more questions than answers."
The public has expressed its shock and disgust at the family members allegedly involved in the sex scandal but questions are now being asked about the role of social workers.
Two of the rescued children, aged six and eight, had been placed in the foster care of the arrested adults.
When foster parents are chosen, it is expected that they will have passed a test of suitability.
The question being asked is was the background of the family thoroughly investigated?
