Austin's Cones Still Waiting For His Return
Ever since Austin was little, he was obsessed with cones. He and Grampie often went to Home Depot together. Austin always spotted the cones and wouldn't let Grampie leave the store without buying him at least two. It must have been the bright orange color that caught his eye.
The top picture of Austin was taken at Silver Lake State Park while on an outing with St. Charles Childrens Home, while he was in the captivity of the State of New Hampshire. He spotted the bright orange cone out near the dock and decided he had to have it. While he wasn't being watched, he attempted to get out to the dock to retrieve it. Luckily, there were other people there who saw what he was trying to do and stopped him before he drowned. They in turn swam out and got the cone for him literally saving his life.
Austin's Mother, by some coincidence or maybe even fate, moved into the same building where the woman lived. On her wall, she had this picture of Austin. Little did she know she would ever meet up with his Mother. My daughter was shocked when she saw the picture of her son hanging on the woman's wall. The woman was shocked when she found out she met Austin's Mother.
The woman proceeded to tell my daughter all about that fateful day when she and her husband saved Austin's life and retrieved the cone that he wanted so badly. She told my daughter how Austin wasn't being watched by anyone from the Children's Home. That they had no idea Austin had wandered off alone, while in the custody of the State who was supposed to be "Protecting" him. They know nothing about protecting children. All they know is how to destroy.
My daughter and my family are so thankful to this woman and her husband for saving Austin's life, though we have no clue about the life he lives now. In fact, we have no idea if Austin is alive or dead, knowing how well the State "Protect's" the children they steal.
Hopefully, one day soon Austin will be returned, alive and well and he can see that Grampie is still collecting cones for him. We have no idea what happened to all the big cones Grampie bought for him. We don't know if his stepfather threw them out with everything else Austin owned, or if by some chance they were given to him at St. Charles. Hopefully some day Austin will be able to tell us. That is if all the drug's the State is forcing him to take don't affect his memory of his happy life before DCYF!

To Austin, From Mommy
Happy Birthday Little Buddy!
Well on this very day 13 years ago my son Austin was born. I was the most happiest mommy alive to finally be able to hold my baby boy after 21 hours of labor and going through the whole thing drug free. But sadly to say today I don't get to see or spend my son's 13th birthday with him, all because he was stolen from me by Nashua DCYF. But some day soon I will be able to spend the rest of his birthdays with him.
So Austin, if you can ever read anything mommy writes about you, I want you to know I love you and I never stop thinking about you.
So again I want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY LITTLE MAN AUSTIN. I LOVE YOU BABY BOY AND I ALWAYS WILL!
Love, Your ONE and ONLY Mommy!

Happy Birthday Grandson Austin!
Happy 13th Birthday to our much loved grandson Austin! Though you can't be with us today, we are celebrating your life and the good times we spent together as a family.
You have a new cousin who now shares your birthday. She reminds us so much of you. We see you in her every day. Even though she's never met you, she know's who you are. She look's at pictures of you all the time and can't wait to meet you, along with the rest of your new cousins. Some day we will all be back together. The sooner the better.
We love and miss you and can't wait for your return. We will never forget you. We are Family. Your REAL Family. The Family who loves you unconditionally. The Family you were ripped away from.
So here's hoping you have a Happy Birthday. As happy as can be, without your REAL Family by your side to celebrate with you. We will be with you again. The wheels of Justice are very slow, but you WILL come home!
Love Always and Forever, Grammy, Grampie, Mommy, Belle and your entire REAL Family!

The Smart Money: DHHS and its significant challenges
The Smart Money: DHHS and its significant challenges | New Maine Times:
Gov. Paul LePage's proposed 2013-14 budget was received and will be given proper scrutiny, but the truth is that the final budget that passes the Legislature is unlikely to look anything like the document LePage and his chief economic adviser, Sawitt Miller, sent to the Statehouse on January 11.
DHHS also has a foster care problem. More than $4.2 million of the shortfall is costs associated with increasing foster care expenses.
Note: Then Stop Stealing children from innocent families!
If the kids have been subjected to abuse or neglect for longer periods of time while in their homes, or have more serious mental health concerns, I guess your staff isn't doing their jobs concerning the rendering of services for these families. When you pull a child out of a home, most times due to false allegation's, YOU are the people responsible for their mental and emotional issues. What do you plan on doing now? Stopping services to these families, which is a Federal mandate, only to steal the children at a younger age because younger children are more adoptable?
