The overuse of the Sununu Center is simple, it allows DHHS to collect more federal money for their care and then turn aroud and bill the parents of these children at 100%. So where is the money going... and why is the Childrens Alliance, Child and Family Services and the Disabilitites Rights Center not doing more than writing a guest commentary piece through the telegraph to help these children? What other programs are avaliable for these young people and their families to help them become productive members of society?

Legally Kidnapped: "Merry Christmas"
You cannot listen to the radio, you cannot watch TV, you cannot go out to the store, and you cannot read the papers.
A song can cut through you like a knife. Watching and hearing children laugh and play is cruel. "Merry Christmas", "Joy to the world" and "Peace on Earth" is an insult.
That's the reality for a parent or relative left with nothing but an empty bed, un played with toys and maybe a picture that cannot hold onto or talk to you.
While the world around you rejoices, you are falling into a deep, dark pit that cannot be climbed out of.
Nobody listens to you, or even bothers to understand what you are going through and what your fears are for your children. It seems like they think you just lost your wallet or the hamster died.
Somebody's taking "Care" of your child, and Fuck You!
That was my Christmas 30 years ago. One does NOT forgive nor forget!

HELLO EVERYONE I NEED EVERYONE'S SUPPORT HERE. FIRST AND FOREMOST I AM THANKING GOD I SURVIVED BEING IN FOSTER CARE FOR 16 YEARS. I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW MY LIFE WAS MISERABLE AND IT WAS VERY HARD FOR ME. MY AUNT TOOK ME INTO HER FOR THE PURPOSE OF MONEY. AT AGE 7 YEARS OLD EVERY TIME MY AUNT WAS DRUNK SHE WOULD JUST BEAT ME WITH A WHIP ON MY BACK AND LEGS. EVERY OTHER DAY AFTER THAT MY AUNT WOULD INVITE MEN OVER TO GET HIGH USING COCAINE AND INJECTING NEEDLES IN THEIR ARMS. MY OLDEST BROTHER USE TO TRY AND PROTECT ME AND AND OUR OTHER BROTHERS AND SISTERS. THESE MEN WERE RAPING BOTH OF MY SISTERS EVERY OTHER WEEK. THEN MY AUNTS HUSBAND THE FOSTER FATHER RAPED MY BROTHER. MY OLDEST BROTHER TRIED TO STOP THIS AND WHEN HE COULD NOT STOP THIS, MY AUNT CALLED THE CHICAGO POLICE TO HAVE MY BROTHER ARRESTED AND TAKEN TO MICHAEL REESE HOSPITAL AND I NEVER SAW MY BROTHER AGAIN. AT 16 YEARS OLD I TRIED TO ESCAPE THE FOSTER HOME AND MY AUNT HAD PAID SOMETHING MONEY TO HAVE SOMEONE SHOOT ME IN MY RIGHT FOOT. I ALSO WAS RAPED BY A GROWN WOMAN WHEN I WAS 11 YEARS OLD. THIS IS HORRIBLE WHAT THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES AND THE COOK COUNTY PUBLIC GUARDIANS OFFICE HAS CAUSED ME TO GO THROUGH ALL OF THIS AND FOR WHAT. I AM AT A LOST BECAUSE WHEN I WAS HOME I WAS VERY HAPPY AND WELL TAKEN CARE OF MY FATHER AND MOTHER WAS VERY CARING AND UNDERSTANDING PEOPLE. Not all parent's are this lucky. Don't look for help in New Hampshire. You'll get court-ordered into treatment programs that don't exist. When you don't comply with the court-order's of non-existent treatment, your right's are terminated. NH has the most corrupt judicial system of all time!
