The Anti-Adoption Movement Is the Next Reproductive Justice Frontier

The Anti-Adoption Movement Is the Next Reproductive Justice Frontier | New Republic:

For a long time, Claudia Corrigan D’Arcy thought of herself as an adoption success story. Pregnant at 18 from an affair with her boss, she denied the pregnancy until her coworkers began to notice. Too far along to get an abortion, she looked up an adoption agency in the Yellow Pages and found herself agreeing to move to Boston and live with a host family until she gave birth. Her son, who she calls Max (his adoptive parents gave him a different name), was born in November of 1987 and handed over to a couple Corrigan D’Arcy had only seen in photos. And that was that.

Court appointed advocates for children in short supply in Nashua; volunteers sought

Court appointed advocates for children in short supply in Nashua; volunteers sought - NashuaTelegraph.com:

NASHUA – Court Appointed Special Advocates of New Hampshire is hoping to head off a critical shortage of volunteers in Nashua that could result in even worse outcomes for abused and neglected children who have landed in the court system.

NOTE:
“I find it very rewarding because we are the sole voice for the child and the family in the courtroom,” LaRoche said. Sorry Mr. LaRoche, but you are dead wrong. CASA is NOT a voice for the family. Not the REAL family anyway.CASA is a voice for the Foster family and DCYF. No-one is the voice for the REAL family in the courtroom full of vultures, most times, not even their own court-appointed Puppet. Children and their parent's would be much better served by FAMILY ADVOCATES, who work FOR the REAL Family. They don't work hand in hand with DCYF, the Court, or the Fosters. They work with the WHOLE REAL family.
"The volunteers also interview parents, teachers, coaches, extended family and neighbors to get the clearest possible picture of the child’s home life." Since when? Is this something new? I've never heard of any such cases where they interview all these people.
“I think it’s so crucial to have somebody speak for the children,” Kenyon said. “There are so many people speaking for and defending adults, but there’s no one speaking for the kids except for a CASA. WRONG! First and foremost, CASA does NOT speak for the children. They speak for DCYF! Second, NOBODY, I mean NOBODY speaks or defends the adults in Family Court cases. Family Court is a cesspool full of lies, deceit and unethical practices, used against, in many cases, innocent parents and family member's, all brought into the arena full of wolves. Follow the money trail, known as Title IV funding and push to open ALL "secret" Family Court's. Put an end to the destruction of New Hampshire families!
