Feds' foster care takeover could prompt reform - Watchdog.org:

Most of Texas’ elected statewide officials have a weakness for posturing on superficial family issues, but their instincts are going to be tested this year on a question that couldn’t get any realer: when does the state get to decide that a family should no longer exist as a family?

Richard Wexler, founder of the National Coalition for Child Protection Reform, said that the state simply shouldn’t be removing so many children from their homes.
