Two parents sue Iowa DHS over kids removed from homes

Two parents sue Iowa DHS over kids removed from homes | The Des Moines Register | desmoinesregister.com:

Lawsuits challenge the use of 'voluntary agreements' signed by parents who have lost their legal rights

State social workers have taken custody of children even when there is no proof of harm by a parent or caregiver, according to two lawsuits filed against the Iowa Department of Human Services.

They do the same thing in New Hampshire. Are there any Lawyer's out there brave enough to take on NH DCYF?

  1. I don't think anyone would disagree that a child should be removed from a home where they are being abused or neglected. The problem with DCYF in NH is that they've removed children from their families in MANY instances where there has been NO evidence of abuse or neglect, only a false allegation or some other misinformation. But they don't correct their mistakes, they don't return children promptly to their families, and they treat people who have done nothing wrong like criminals. THAT needs to be fixed. Are you listening, Maggie Bishop?

    1. Thank you Anonymous. My thoughts exactly! They don't apologize to us Grandparents either after treating us with disrespect and slander. They don't correct their mistakes because they won't admit they made them, though one Nashua Manager did admit they made a mistake in my granddaughter's case. He promised it wouldn't happen again. But it did and the Manager was transferred, no longer in Nashua. My grandson, whom I was assured I would get custody of still isn't home. He was supposedly adopted by stranger's, if in fact he was ever adopted. And I'm sure Maggie Bishop is listening, but whether it continues to go in one ear and out the other is a different story.

  2. Iowa DHS. I know several people this has happened too. Including myself. DHS is recommending termination. I know several people this is happening too or happened too. Like, they took my friends kids because she died during surgery and when she came too she couldn't walk. Her kids were old enough to help. As for me, it started by bullshit lies and they keep lying and they want us to go through all this crap. Its making my life a living hell. I have a generalized anxiety disorder. This definately doesn't help any. Im under so much stress it isn't even funny.

  3. Iowa DHS wastes millions on foster care placements when placement with family would be better for the children and much cheaper. Furthermore the parents are often pacified so that they will work with the Drug Task Forces to bust those who sold them drugs or for leads that go to no where.
