Parent Safety Tips

We live in a world OBSESSED with "safety". Practically everything has "safety protocols", "Safety Equipment", "Safety Methods".

Safety EVERYTHING ad nauseam.

Virtually every occupation has "Safety Concerns" one needs to be aware of when "on the job", because there may be safety hazards that are not obvious, or hard to anticipate.

The consequences of NOT knowing about the hazards involved with an occupation can be extremely serious. Even life-threatening. Stuff you never imagined existed- happening right before you eyes.

I spent a lot of years as an employer. One thing was the steel building construction business. Very VERY dangerous job. Anytime I got a new employee, I or one of my supervisors showed the new hire everything dangerous we could think of and what to do to avoid injury or death. And then the entire crew kept an eye on the new hire until he was finally "up to speed".

I believe it is safe to say that being a parent is a JOB. It is a SERIOUS job, because if you are intending to accomplish anything as a parent, is to deliver a young adult equipped and ready to make his/her own way in the world.

At least that USED to be the theory. I am not so sure WHAT the theory is now.

One statement I see often in news story comments sections from a certain snide sort of personality is "They should make people get a LICENSE before they let them have kids!"

When you look at this sex-soaked world, it's interesting to note that it's pretty much like a box full of puppies humping each other. Apparently oblivious to the FACT that humping can make BABIES.

Pregnancy does seem to make the MOTHERHOOD instinct take over in most females, and they might decide to calm down what had been a dangerous life-style. Most of them DO want to become a good mother. A lucky girl might have her own mother or other female relatives to provide guidance and teach good mothering.

Similarly, males might develop a natural Paternal Instinct to protect and care for his progeny and the mother. Or maybe not. Today's society doesn't require anything more from him than CHILD SUPPORT PAYMENTS.

Prior that that, the only "training" they might have received was in "sex education class", warning about the importance of using "protection to prevent venereal disease and pregnancy". Yeah, pretty much said in the same breath with no pause or comma.

Otherwise there is NO PARENTING SAFETY TIPS. Anywhere.

At the top of MY list would be 'BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE Child Protective Services".

If you are going to argue with your "mate", think about CPS.

If you are going to get lazy or forgetful about taking care of the baby, think about CPS.

If you want to get drunk, do dope, or go party, think about CPS.

If you are thinking about DOING SOMETHING STUPID, think about CPS.

Essential Things People just DO NOT UNDERSTAND about CPS-

1 - CPS is an Organized Crime Ring.

2 - CPS employees are sociopaths and pathological liars.

3 - Every child CPS takes is KIDNAPPED.

4 - Nobody cares about the CHILD'S Fourth Amendment Right to be secure in their homes.

5 - The parents have NO Constitutional Rights, because being accused of abuse is NOT a CRIME.

6 - NO DUE PROCESS - Parents are left having to try to prove a Negative - that NOTHING happened.
Be ignorant of the existence of CPS and how brutally judgmental and microscopically critical of EVERYTHING you think or do at your peril.
