Trial begins in ex-social worker's $2 million 'whistleblower' lawsuit against Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. — All Jami Hall wanted was a career as a social worker, helping protect children from abuse and neglect, according to her lawyer.

It alleges cabinet officials ignored Hall's claims that (Supervisor)Taylor was changing dates on reports of suspected child abuse and neglect to cover the fact they hadn't been investigated promptly. It said supervisors retaliated when Hall persisted in her claims.
