Suspecting Parents Doesn’t Protect Kids — Training and Partnership Do
Suspecting Parents Doesn’t Protect Kids — Training and Partnership Do:
I know something about social services and foster care. For a year between college and law school, I worked for child protective services in New York City. I was hired as a case investigator in 1988 after Mayor Ed Koch ordered an expansion of the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS). I was 23, raised in suburban New Jersey, and knew little of Manhattan aside from its museums and Broadway theaters. I wanted to do something meaningful before entering graduate school, and an ad in The New York Times stating that helping children required only a college degree (mine was in English literature) caught my eye.

Nebraska Court Says Teen Must Obey Religious Beliefs Of Foster Parents And Not Have An Abortion
Nebraska Court Says Teen Must Obey Religious Beliefs Of Foster Parents And Not Have An Abortion -:
A 16-year-old girl has been denied her constitutional right to choose to have an abortion by the Nebraska Supreme Court. The judges ruled that the unnamed defendant is “not mature or well-informed enough” to make her own reproductive decisions, though the court apparently believes she is mature enough to give birth to and raise a baby as a young single mother. It’s certainly a ruling that defies logic.
Note: Though I don't believe in abortion, since when does the Religious beliefs of Foster strangers matter? CPS and the Family Courts have lead us all to believe that Foster children will be allowed to follow their own Religion. Not the Foster stranger's.
Look's to me like the Court is just looking for another child to boost more blood money from the Federal Govt.
