A Senate bill working its way through the General Assembly would pave the way for many legal proceedings involving child abuse and neglect cases to be open to the public. Most such proceedings are currently closed. Senate Bill 40, introduced by Sens. Julie Raque Adams, R-Louisville, Morgan McGarvey, D-Louisville, and John Schickel, R-Union, asks the Kentucky Supreme Court to create a pilot project to "study the feasibility and desirability of the opening or limited opening of court proceedings, except for proceedings related to sexual abuse, to the public which are related to" cases involving children. The Senate approved the bill Friday, and it now moves to the House.

In Dire Need of an Attorney-Pro Bono

In dire need of an Attorney, who will take my Civil Rights case, Pro Bono to bring my grandchildren, Austin and Isabella home and to sue for damages. This case should be a slam dunk. I have filed Supreme Court appeals on my own in the past, every one denied. In New Hampshire, it seem's Pro Se Plaintiffs/Litigants don't stand a snowball's chance in hell of even being put on the Docket.
