DCF a good place to start reforming state gov't

DCF a good place to start reforming state gov't | HartfordBusiness.com:

In September 2015 a civil-rights lawsuit was filed against the commissioner of the Department of Children and Families and four others. The suit was brought by foster parents who were falsely accused of child sexual abuse — in a setting reminiscent of the hysteria that led to the Salem witch trials. The criminal case that followed DCF's charges resulted in a rapid acquittal of one parent and dropped charges as to the other. The presiding judge in the criminal proceedings noted (I paraphrase from the suit) that the DCF resisted court-ordered document production, refused to comply with reasonable subpoenas, withheld records containing "extraordinarily exculpatory evidence," and that "the brigade of social workers, educators, department of family's personnel who provided intense services" never saw any signs of physical abuse.

Mass. has highest rate of CPS Rats in U.S.

Mass. has highest rate of reported child abuse in U.S. | WWLP.com:

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Newly released numbers show that Massachusetts reported the highest rate of abused and neglected children in the nation. The state reported 31,863 children that were victims of abuse or neglect to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for the fiscal year 2014. That works out to about 22 victims per 1,000 children.
My Comment: Very few of these children are actually abused or neglected. CPS has a knack for railroading innocent parent's for absurd and even fraudulent reasons. And it's not just in Mass. It's Nationwide. Follow the Money!

ADHD Symptoms Less Likely To Fade When Parents Criticize Their Kids

ADHD Symptoms Less Likely To Fade When Parents Criticize Their Kids:

New research out of the American Psychological Association links persistent attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) to having critical parents, suggesting that parental behavior can have a significant impact on the mental disorder. In many cases, ADHD fades away towards the end of adolescence, and may completely disappear in adulthood. Among those whose symptoms persist as they age, harsh and critical parents may play a role, the research suggests.
