AUBURN, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com)  - The biological mother of a toddler who died while in foster care said she was given very limited information about how her only daughter died. Jessica Conway said she lost custody of Ava about a year ago, just after the young girl turned one.

Another Foster child Death

AUBURN – Investigators scoured a Pheasant Court home for evidence Sunday one day a foster care child living there died and a second remained hospitalized.
No new details were released on what happened or if anyone was being criminally charged with the death of the young child and the hospitalization of the second foster care child.

The Senate Human Services and Health committees today will hold a joint oversight hearing to examine the way children in foster care are given mind-altering drugs. Two bills requiring a more involved process to prescribe psychotropic drugs for foster kids, Senate Bills 238 and 253, have passed the upper house and are awaiting approval from the Assembly.
