Can Article 31/32 Redress be used as a partisan issue?

Although Article 31/32 Redress is absolutely not a partisan issue, the greater majority of Democrats have chosen to deny everyone their right to this very effective provision of our NH Bill of Rights while the majority of the (remaining) Republicans support the restoration of Redress. We therefore believe that if we heavily promote the Right to Redress over the next few months that we can effectually expose the Democrats as illegitimate and regain much lost ground among independent voters such as myself.

For this purpose, we've put a 40 minute presentation together to inform the people of NH about the Article 31 Redress process and we would be happy to present it to any group willing to learn more about the history and effectiveness of the Article 31/32 redress process.
The following link is to a great essay titled -- "The Power of Petitions; Women and the New Hampshire Provincial Government, 1695 - 1770" It discusses Redress in New Hampshire and among other things, how Redress was used to secure better treatment of veterans. http://disseminate.objectrepository.org/file/master/10622/S0020859001000335

We'll be giving a presentation at Area 23 in Manchester on March 15th at 10:30am. Its free and open to the public.

Please feel free to call or write if you have any questions at all about redress or if you have a group that you would like us to present these ideas to.

A typical family, perhaps yours — husband, wife, two kids.
The children are tucked into bed. Then, in the middle of the night. The parents rush to the door, look outside, see a uniformed police officer — they open the door.

The amount given to states is actually very clearly outlined in the act, in Sec. 473A. [42 U.S.C. 673b.  For every adoption the state receives $4,000.  An additional $4,000 for a child with special needs.  And, $8,000 for an older child.
