Thanks to a San Diego judge, Californians will finally have access to information about children who die from abuse and neglect. Without these disclosures, it's impossible for our state to make the necessary reforms to child welfare practices that could prevent even more deaths in the future.

U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., joined with U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., to sponsor a non-binding Senate resolution, unanimously approved last week.
