If Child Protective Services had its way, 5-year-old Katelynn Allen wouldn't be with her grandmother right now. Neither would her 6-year-old brother Elisha.

CPS wanted them to be adopted by non-relatives.

Please join me in my New Years Resolution to put an end to Title IV funding! This funding comes from OUR Social Security we've paid in all these years and is used to reward the States for the kidnapping of our children, fostered out by stranger's and adopted. The more children stolen, the heftier reward. Title IV funding is the incentive to steal our children. Why is there NO incentive to keep families together?

Yet three years ago Dr. Phil lamented on his show that 15 million American children were diagnosed as mentally ill and being prescribed drugs. Fifteen million and counting. It also was reported that schools were rewarded for identifying behaviour patterns that led to a successful mental illness diagnosis and prescription.

Appellate Court Says Family Court Can Overrule Criminal Court in Matters Pertaining to Welfare of Children - JD Journal | JD Journal:

On Wednesday, in a unanimous decision, the Appellate Division, Second Department ruled that a family court may override a criminal order of protection if that order includes a clause making the order subject to future amendment.

Following the order of the family court, both the mother and the children appealed separately. While the appeal was pending, the mother moved the criminal court successfully to have the order barring her from contact with her son removed. Following deletion of the bar by the criminal court, the family court granted custody of the children to their mother.
