In the state of Oregon, the Obamacare mandate, which went into effect on August 1, 2012, provides free sterilizations to girls as young as fifteen. Now, your daughter, your high school freshman, can choose, without your consent, to be permanently sterilized.

We believe the one big, overriding issue for Guardian ad litem reform is the total lack of oversight of their work. This issue has been identified by several other important groups before – but in thinking more deeply about this issue – it is more than just a lack of oversight in the form of supervision. It is that most (if not all) Guardians ad litem are licensed professionals – lawyers, social workers, and such. They are in professions that have legally mandated oversight by their various Maine boards of licensing, yet these professional boards seem to be disabled by current laws governing Guardians ad litem from taking any normal corrective action on complaints from the public.

City police officials might consider a suggestion that they take over child welfare investigations of abuse and neglect, currently the responsibility of the city's embattled Human Services Department.

Kevin Reichard said he was proudest of his contributions to the new law requiring parents to be notified when their child wants to have an abortion as well as the law that banned partial-birth abortions at the state level. He was also excited that the Legislature passed a voter ID bill, particularly after Project Veritas identified a real problem with voter fraud in New Hampshire, he said. The first-term incumbent faces a tough primary in moderate Derry (Rockingham 6), where 11 Republicans are vying for 10 seats in the House. If re-elected, Rep. Reichard said he would focus on preventing welfare fraud and the abuse of EBT cards by limiting their use to the purchase of certain items. He also noted that many adults are still living with their parents while collecting welfare—a practice that must end. The state should also require people receiving welfare payments to spend most of their time trying to find a new job, he said. In other efforts to improve the fiscal stability and efficiency of the state, Rep. Reichard said he would focus on reducing business taxes to make the state more competitive, make changes to corporate law to attract larger companies and support merit-based pay for all public-sector union employees. On social issues, Rep. Reichard said he would support bills that recognize the potential viability of a fetus at conception and the right of religious conscience for businesses. Rep. Stella Tremblay spent her first two years in the House sitting on the brand new Redress of Grievances Committee, and she said the experience helped her realize how “our freedoms are really getting flushed down the drain.” She said the committee doesn’t do enough and must be empowered to reimburse people financially when they have been wronged by the government or to correct abuses of power in the family courts and return parents’ children to them when those children have been wrongly taken away. “We are here on Earth to gain experience and knowledge, and one of the ways to do that is to make mistakes,” said Rep. Tremblay, the best of six candidates for five seats in Rockingham 4, which consists of Auburn, Chester and Sandown. “If government is always there to pick up for people, it is destroying one of the reasons we’re here on Earth.” Rep. Tremblay is also staunchly pro-life and laments the fact that government allows women to choose to end the lives of their own children because they don't want to deal with the consequences of their actions. She points out that, in most cases, a woman and a man make a choice that results in a child, and freedom must be accompanied by personal responsibility. She believes we must not allow women or men to shirk their responsibility by destroying the life of a child. After all, there are many pregnancy care centers in New Hampshire that compassionately assist those women in need. Besides working to end the practice of abortion in any way she can, Rep. Tremblay said she would also work to define marriage as the union of a man and a woman upon reelection. She said the nation depends on strong families for stability and will collapse without families providing its foundation. Yet, many returning legislators build cozy relationships with lobbyists and forget why they ran for office in the first place, so she puts her reelection efforts “in the Lord’s hands,” she said. During his freshmen term in the House, Rep. Dan Tamburello helped pass several pro-family bills. Among the most important efforts, Rep. Tamburello co-sponsored HB 1419, a bill written by Rep. Al Baldasaro that gives military parents a buffer period when they’re deployed before they have to deal with family court issues regarding their parental rights, and SB 166, a bill that makes sure the spouse and children of police officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty receive the medical benefits they had come to rely on. Rep. Tamburello also co-sponsored CACR 13, a measure that will be on the ballot this November, which will amend the constitution to prohibit an income tax in New Hampshire. Rep. Dan Tamburello is facing nine other candidates in a Londonderry (Rockingham 5) primary for seven seats in the House. If re-elected, Rep. Tamburello plans to make another attempt to reduce the requirement for annual car inspections to inspections once every two years, which he said would save families money. He also plans to pursue more options for educational choice and would support a constitutional amendment to define marriage as an institution only between a man and a woman so voters can settle the issue, he said. Besides Rep. Tamburello, Cornerstone is supporting Rep. Al Baldasaro with a Cornerstone score of 97.37 percent and Rep. Robert Introne with a Cornerstone score of 96.67 percent. To support Reps. Why is our Government still funding the illegal kidnapping of our children and grandchildren when Federal Mandates are NOT being followed? I am just another grandparent of many denied the right to raise my grandchildren. My grandson also lived in my home for the first three years of his life. When he and his mom moved out, he still spent every day with us, yet he was still stolen from us, placed in foster care, drugged after he tried to hang himself at age 6 and supposedly, adopted out to stranger's, if in fact he ever was adopted!
