Child Protective Services: A system in trouble

Child Protective Services: A system in trouble:

The best way to reduce child abuse and neglect and keep children safe is to help their families remain stable, experts say. That has become more of a challenge since the economy tumbled.

Faced with budget deficits, Arizona lawmakers over the past four years balanced the state's budget in part by cutting more than $300 million from programs that support struggling families, from substance-abuse treatment to housing to child-care assistance.

Foster care in America: A Nebraska caseworker gives away the game

NCCPR Child Welfare Blog: Foster care in America: A Nebraska caseworker gives away the game:

babies.”

When it comes to the all-time Child Protective Services Excuse Hit Parade this item almost always is in the top three: “We can’t take away children,” says the caseworker or the supervisor or the agency flack or the agency director. “Only a judgehas the power to do that. The fact that this is a lie does'nt stop reporters from falling for it over and over again.

STOP Judicial Child Abuse: Dr. David Vandenberg, a Fit Parent Denied All Contact With Daughter For 3 Years For Practicing Christianity:

Dr. David Vandenberg is another fit parent who has been denied all contact with his daughter for three years; but Dr. Vandenberg is not just another fit parent: He is a great parent, upstanding citizen, community volunteer, educator, and a practicing Christian.

In 2009, the Cheshire Superior Court issued an order denying Dr. Vandenberg ALL contact with his daughter because he was praying with her, reading the Bible, and taking her to church. These are all standard practices of Christians. Dr. Vandenberg was simply attempting the free exercise of his faith, when all of a sudden, the godless guardian ad litem, court, and adversaries decided to make false allegations of events that never even happened!
