Now today, I sadly have another tragedy to report about another girl far too young to endure so much.

Missouri mom Shelby Dasher, 20, has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of her 13 month old son Tyler Dasher. Dasher originally claimed her son had been abducted, telling police he was missing when she woke up in the morning. People walking their dog found his body later that day near a cemetery around a mile from their home. Dasher was arrested and later confessed that she beat him repeatedly because he wouldn’t stop crying, wouldn’t lay down, and wouldn’t go back to sleep.

TULSA, Okla. — A federal judge will allow a lawsuit against the Oklahoma Department of Human Services over the treatment of foster children in its care to retain class-action status.
U.S. District Judge Gregory Frizzell on Tuesday rejected a motion by the state agency to appeal a decision to certify the lawsuit as a class action.
