What Happened to the Pethtels?
This morning, an AFRA NewsHawk sent in this story-

I noticed the date the story was written, and since it's a 7 month old story, I was about ready to forget about it and move on. But curiosity compelled me to do a websearch on "Pethtel" to see if anything new had happened. Found some interesting news spin in August 2010 about them "hiding out" and then being "found" in their car at a gas station in town. A story written like that is all you need to "win" in the court of public opinion.
Turns out, the Pethtels were ADOPTERS who adopted kids from all over the world.
The lawsuit is still in court-

Or maybe not- (This is the last entry in the Docket Report currently)
09/28/2011 171 ORDER granting in part and denying in part 144 145 148 151 152 155 156 157 161 164 and 165 the Motions to Stay and/or Extend Time. Discovery in this matter and all deadlines in the Court's Scheduling Order are STAYED. The trial of this matter will remain as set, but the parties may request that the District Judge reset the trial date in the Spring, if or when it becomes apparent that the date is no longer viable. The case will not be stayed in its entirety, and the Court will issue rulings on the motions to dismiss in due course.
