Keep your ADHD Label, Teach Writing.

Keep your ADHD Label, Teach Writing. « AbleChild.org:

Keep your ADHD Label, Teach Writing.
Over the years, Ablechild.org has gone directly to the pipeline of ADHD, and has informed parents of the misleading information they are receiving through the public school system and the media relating to the label ADHD and the dangerous mind altering drugs that are recommended as the solution.

Writing is the latest link the drug manufacturers and psychiatric gatekeepers plan on using to lure families into psychiatric drug use. Perfect timing as children start school. Tuesday, August 23 (HealthDay News) reports that Children diagnosed with ADHD have a much higher risk of developing written language disorder, a new study indicates. The findings don’t eliminate the ADHD label or give way to the fact that millions of children have been misdiagnosed with ADHD that had underlying writing issues. The study wants to ensure children are Co-labeled.

What you will find with any ADHD study, the ADHD label is often linked with human actions, i.e., walking, talking, listening, eating, sleeping, crying, laughing and now writing. To validate the label they take those actions and link it to “a much higher risk of developing” problems and across it over to whatever obtains them more clientele. For example, Monday, July 25, 2011 big news (Reuters Health) reported that Children with ADHD are more likely to misjudge risk of walking across the street. The findings, researchers say it may explain why children with the disorder have a higher than average risk of being hit by a car. This approach to taking a verb and associating it with risk and linking with your child becomes alarming. Simple tasks become a concern, something for you to look for to become proactive about. This has created an industry that feeds off our children’s behaviors. Giving cause to analyse it all and cure it. OMG!

As school starts, know the facts and stay in the solution. Writing problems exist, but they can be solved without a ADHD Label or drugs. The recommendation should not be to Co-label a child with ADHD and a writing disorder, but to look at ensuring that schools continue to focus on the connection between writing and the development of the brain.. Thus the research they are not providing to you or mentioning in this breaking news study is a key ingredient for you to make an informed decision. Ablechild gives you a battling study for your review and a breaking news story that illustrates the failure to teach writing at the important developmental ages.

Research.

Foster parents; Mandatory reporters. Heroes?

Occasionally, we read a article that prompts a response as this one did. Published in the Journal Gazzette, Fort Wayne, Indiana we find an article. Let us read portions of this article and then examine it; (not quoted in aggregate for obvious reasons).

Article stated;
See abuse. Be a hero to a child.
Rachel Tobin-Smith

As citizens, though, our job is not to confirm abuse. It is to report suspected child sexual abuse. We are not the experts. The police, Child Protective Services and the forensic interviewers at the Dr. Bill Lewis Center for Children are the experts. They will do the job of asking the questions.

You can remain anonymous. State law requires the Department of Child Services to protect the identity of those reporting abuse or neglect allegations. DCS keeps the name and contact information of all report sources confidential. Link to article.

Children are our most precious gift from God, so should we protect them, by all means we need to protect our little ones from harm, but from whom is the harm coming?

Question; have you ever seen the traumatic results of a child being removed from a non abusive home, a home where suspected child abuse was not taking place. Police cars complete with lights, five soical workers, family ripped apart, children traumatized.
You see child abuse is in the eye of the beholder. If you are a parent then saying no, while lightly slapping a child’s hand for adding candy bars to your grocery cart is not child abuse, to a single, unqualified social worker who has never had children in her own life it would be most assuredly be child abuse. Placing a hand over a teens sassing cussing mouth, child abuse. Those lights will be in front of your home.
We are, of course, not talking about physical/sexual abuse, are we? We are talking about suspected abuse, and duties of mandatory reporters. Has your child ever skinned his knee, needed stitches for a fall, required a broken bone to be set? Accidents are no longer accidents but child abuse in the eyes of Child Protective Services. How many parents hesitate to take their child to an emergency room for minor incidents, if you do not then minor incidents become medical neglect? Is it that bad? Yes, it is.

If the emergency room, doctor suspects that you were in any way responsible for the fall, no matter the circumstances he/she will call CPS. The alternative, if it turns out this incident was child abuse it will come back on this mandatory reporter.

Now let us examine the first quote from this article; the police, CPS and the forensic interviewers are the experts. The police are the experts, we agree with that statement, however, it is not the police that investigate suspected child abuse.
It is inexperienced social workers who are designated as investigators acting in this capacity; these workers are inexperienced and establish child abuse behind every door, around every corner.

We have always said “it is a conflict of interest to allow any investigative personnel and/or team financial gain from finding individuals guilty of child abuse”. Who gets possession of the children in the event the parents are found guilty of child abuse?

Who will gain Title lV funds to care for these children after they are removed? Is that not “conflict of interest”.

Suggested reading Title IV funds Social Security. Part 1 / part 2 / part 3 / part 4 / part 5 / part 6 / part 7 / part 8.

The title is an actual internet search by which somebody found the AFRA website today. We get quite a few grieving grandparents desperately looking for help. They usually find our How to Fight CPS page, which should serve their needs.

However, there are a few comments I would like to add. Here's the LAW about "kinship preference"

42 U.S.C. § 671 : US Code - Section 671: State plan for foster care and adoption assistance was amended in 1996-

COATS (AND WYDEN) AMENDMENT NO. 4909 (Senate - July 18, 1996)
[Page: S8227]

Mr. ROTH (for Mr. Coats, for himself and Mr. Wyden) proposed an amendment to the bill, S. 1956, supra; as follows:

At the end of chapter 7, of subtitle A, of title II, add the following:

SEC. . KINSHIP CARE.

Section 471(a) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 671(a)) is amended--

(1) by striking `and' at the end of paragraph (16);

(2) by striking the period at the end of paragraph (17) and inserting `; and'; and

(3) by adding at the end the following new paragraph:

`(18) provides that States shall give preference to an adult relative over a non-related caregiver when determining a placement for a child, provided that the relative caregiver meets all relevant State child protection standards.

This amendment is now fully incorporated in the law, but I want to point out who sponsored it and when it was amended. That WAS the law. However, many states had no intention of observing this law. That's exactly why you should memorize it.

The current rendering of this amendment as incorporated states-

(19) provides that the State shall consider giving preference to an adult relative over a non-related caregiver when determining a placement for a child, provided that the relative caregiver meets all relevant State child protection standards;
I don't know WHEN this "minor" rewording happened, or WHO did it. But obviously the minor rewording makes a HUGE difference in meaning.

Now what about the second part- "...provided that the relative caregiver meets all relevant State child protection standards"?

Here is where you have to quit playing "Winston" in "1984". YOU have to ask "What do I need to do to meet the State child protection standards?"

If the CPS agent wants to be coy with you, put the ONUS ON HER- "What do YOU need to do to HELP ME qualify?"

The #1 rule is- DOCUMENT everything said and done. Keep meticulous records of who said what, when. Keep any correspondence to and from the agencies.

Grandparents (and aunts, uncles and cousins) are nearly ALWAYS the best place for kids to be.

With the passage of the Fostering Connections to Success and Increasing Adoptions Act in October 2008, Federal resources are supposed to be available to assist children who leave foster care for legal guardianships with family members.

Use this information wisely to keep YOUR relatives with family instead of going to stranger care.

MOJO - Domestic Violence / DHHS / DCYF / Judicial Oppression / Fraud

DMVC Productions: MOJO - Domestic Violence / DHHS / DCYF / Judicial Oppression / Fraud:

Dear Mothers and Others;

It’s your intuition that leads unless you neglect to follow it. Erin Brockovich once said “If you follow your heart, if you listen to your gut, and if you extend your hand to help another, not for any agenda, but for the sake of humanity, you are going to find the truth.”

Domestic Violence starts like every other love story http://youtu.be/-XPzh7V2yxU; It’s the moment you forget to check in with your intuition … Failure is not an option or a sentence; it is a situation looking for a solution.

Domestic Violence is the vulture we meet in life; understanding the enemies frame of reference; they are slick, they use words to woo you in, they want to protect you, even when they think they have to control you to do it; but your intuition …

In traveling through the fog, concentrate on the blue jays in life; you know the ones I mean; it starts out bold and there’s a bond that’s almost, but not quite unbreakable; those are the ones who pick us up and make us feel; the ones we want to comfort, but who in their varying shades of blue become a misty silvery breeze that gently fall away. They may let us down, but they prepare us for the Red Breasted Robins; a journey that starts with a startled whisper; you’re unconvinced at first; it’s that moment you lock eyes in recognition that takes your breath away. The course is blemished only by what you let be imposed; escape the vulture, sing with the bluebirds and soar with the Robins; the tribulations on the way will make you stronger.

When life gives you orders like this; https://docs.google.com/open?id=0ByTPLCn0VjpSNjRkNjEzMTgtMTliNS00ZGMzLThkMDMtNTA1ZWEzMGNkZDQ0 ; stop, breathe, reclaim control and assert yourself https://docs.google.com/open?id=0ByTPLCn0VjpSNmQ3MmUzYzAtY2NmNy00NDYwLTgzZTItNzJjNDZlNDdmNmU5 ; and for insurance add exhibits and if not incorporated into your original motion you may want to add https://docs.google.com/open?id=0ByTPLCn0VjpSNDNjMWM4NzAtZTgwMC00NjI2LWI1ZjAtMDYxODJhMDkzMmE4 ; you don’t have to bleed to know your alive; you have to breathe. “Excellence is the best deterrent to racism or sexism. Follow your instincts. That's where true wisdom manifests itself.” Oprah

We all have the untapped potential to do amazing things. It’s not about getting even; it’s about being human. So Breathe, Be unstoppable demand accountability and find the truth.
