While it's a day all about dad, some fathers aren't looking forward to Father's Day, as they won't be able to spend it with their children. Dads like Brad Corbett, of London, Ontario, have little or no contact with their children due to strained custody situations.

The decision to remove a child from his or her home and parents should never be taken lightly. While a living situation may be fraught with abuse, drugs or neglect, families still maintain cultural, racial and social values that often define a child's sense of identity.
The forced separation of child and parents is a potentially devastating moment. But, when those same parents are able to overcome challenges, get their lives back on track, and reunite with their children, there is cause for celebration.

I knew posting about Permanency Quotas was likely to cause some concern. I was a little surprised though that people were concerned that the quotas would cause caseworkers to have bias towards returning children home. At first I was surprised because I thought I had made it pretty clear that I was not even aware of these quotas as a caseworker - its purely an administrative issue. But as I thought about it longer, there was another reason that I was surprised -
