A Staten Island mom Tuesday sued the city Administration for Children's Services and a foster parent for failing to protect her son, who has been missing since January.
Jennifer Rodriguez's 7-year-old, Patrick Alford, went missing while in the custody of a Brooklyn foster mother, Librada Moran.

An Industry of Death in downtown Sacramento and warned families about the dangers of psychiatric drugging of children. Sacramento chapter to raise public awareness of psychiatric abuses...According to Renee Carlander, Executive Director for the Sacramento Chapter of the Citizens Commission on Human Rights, the lives of more and more children are being endangered by psychiatric drugs. Based on the FDA's Adverse Drug Reactions reports, a child commits suicide attributed to psychiatric drugs every week. Every week, a child goes into a coma because of psychiatric drugs. Every month 4 children die from psychiatric drug side effects, Carlander said. Despite these dangers, a 2009 issue of Health Affairs reported that prescriptions of psychiatric drugs for American children increased by 50 percent from 1996 to 2006. In 2006 alone, a total of $8.9 billion was spent treating children 0 to 17 years old for mental disorders per a report from the US Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. People need to know the harm that psychiatric drugs can do to their children.

The head of the New Hampshire Division for Children, Youth and Families said allegations that the state seized a newborn girl over her father's political affiliations don't reflect the division's policies.
"That's what people seem to be focusing on, but it's not what I'm focusing on," said Maggie Bishop, director of DCYF. "To think that we would remove a child because of a person's affiliation with a club - that's not what we do."
Bishop said confidentiality requirements prevent her from discussing the specifics in the case of Johnathon Irish and Stephanie Taylor, the Epsom couple whose daughter was taken from their custody a day after her birth at Concord Hospital last week.

(Oct. 11) -- A 13-year-old Florida girl has been arrested for allegedly trying to poison members of her adoptive family with insecticide and mixing dog feces into her mother's food in a campaign that lasted more than a year, police said.
The teen's adoptive mother, Janet Tinoco, uncovered the plot when she went to the doctor for toxicology tests and physicians found traces of arsenic in her blood, police said. Tinoco told investigators she had been suffering from health problems for about a year.

It is heartbreaking to deal with the heartbroken
Every few days we hear from somebody who lost their children long ago. They were TPR'ed (Termination of Parental Rights) years ago.
Their grief of loss has never subsided.
And now they find AFRA, pleading for HELP.
They all have the same story-
The only time they saw their lawyer was 5 minutes before court.
The lawyer stumbled through the appearance, hardly even remembering WHO they are "defending".
The lawyer doesn't challenge anything the prosecution or CPS witnesses say.
The lawyer puts absolutely NOTHING ON THE RECORD. No facts, no defense, no exculpatory evidence. NOTHING.
Parent is TPR'ed.
This is TYRANNY, and the reason our forefathers fought the Revolutionary War against the British.
The parent then might find a lawyer to "appeal" the decision. Since no evidence got put ON THE RECORD in lower court, the appeal is lost because there was "no error" in the lower court's decision.
A couple weeks ago, a mother found us, begging for HELP to appeal her 1996 TPR. FOURTEEN YEARS AGO.
There's no advice to give her beyond putting her story out on Facebook and perhaps her long ago kidnapped child might find her.
If I had one wish, it would be for every parent in America to find the American Family Rights Association website and LEARN their Rights and WHAT TO DO IF CPS KNOCKS ON THEIR DOOR.
Before it happens to THEM.
