On November 25, 2014 my 3-year-old granddaughter, Brielle Eternity Gage, died while in her mother's custody. On January 2, 2015 Katlyn Marin was charged with second degree murder. Shortly later the children were returned to the same home even though the child abuse charges were still pending. I find this absolutely absurd and a failure of Justice to knowingly return children back into a harmful environment. This little angel would still be alive today if it wasn't for DCYF and the court returning her to her mother. They are too concerned about looking good and having good return rate numbers rather then the welfare of the children. They not only need to be held responsible but there also needs to be a law passed protecting future child abuse victims from having the same fate as Brielle. Senetor Boutin is working along with me in proposing a new legislation in the upcoming 2016 Session. POWER BY NUMBERS! the more support we have the better acknowledgment this will receive. The unthinkable happened to a family in Arizona. Their three-year-old daughter mysteriously collapsed while her parents were away from home, and she died shortly after. As horrible as that tragedy was, Khloe’s death was only the beginning of the devastation to the Shoars family. Child Protective Services immediately came in and took away all seven of their other children, placing them in various foster home settings around the area.

In Washington State, officials have apparently now mandated that all foster parent families must get their entire households, including young children, vaccinated with the influenza vaccine as a requirement for keeping any foster children. This is in spite of the fact that the flu vaccine is both dangerous and largely ineffective.
As KOMO News is reporting in Tacoma, at least one foster parent is fighting back, and refusing to comply, even if it means losing her 2-week old baby.
