Lawsuit accuses Newport News workers of negligence in 2013 child's death - Daily Press:
NEWPORT NEWS — A trial is scheduled to begin in circuit court next week for a man charged in the death of his girlfriend's 4-year-old daughter more than three years ago.
...........Meantime, a civil wrongful death lawsuit is proceeding against two case workers with Newport News Child Protective Services, with a trial date not yet scheduled.
