Lawmakers react to 'alarming' report on DCYF child-abuse cases | New Hampshire
Lawmakers react to 'alarming' report on DCYF child-abuse cases | New Hampshire:
CONCORD — The preliminary report by an outside agency investigating the handling of child abuse cases by the state was called “disturbing” and “alarming” Wednesday by members of the legislative Commission on Child Abuse Fatalities.
“Reading the report made me feel like we are on a sinking ship,” said commission member Skip Berrien, a Democratic state representative from Exeter.
My Comment:
DCYF wouldn't be so understaffed if only cases of TRUE abuse were being investigated. Reports called in against parents and families should be thoroughly screened. The Reporter's, who call in anonymously or give their names should be screened for legitimacy first. Anonymous caller's usually make up false report's to retaliate against someone they're mad at. Other times reporter's call in and give someone else's name, again in retaliation. Then you have Hospital personnel making reports against parents and families because they listen to people who just don't like them. Then you have reports made against new Mother's for prescribed medication they took while pregnant. That makes absolutely no sense to open a case against a Mother for following Doctors orders. That needs to change.Did you also ever stop to think that some of these worker's have a heart? That some of these worker's already know whether there's REAL abuse and neglect or if there isn't , but their Supervisor forces them to remove the child? Many of these worker's really want to help, but are forced not to.Then you have the "Service Plan", where the parent's and the worker are "supposed" to sit down together and write it up. Never seen it happen. The worker does it and tells the parent if they don't sign it they'll never see their children again. Does it STILL work this way, or was that only ten or eleven years ago?Services to at risk families? How long has this been going on, if in fact it is?State Senator Sharon Carson said:“I am concerned about the children who have possibly fallen through the cracks.†Senator Carson, What about the Grandparents and family member's who have fallen through the cracks, as admitted by DCYF? The family member's who were never considered in placement of the taken children? Never given a Home Inspection or acknowledged in their request's for placement.Told "Relative Placement is NOT an option, the child is going into foster care, period" by a well know Nashua Supervisor. If DCYF is so understaffed, maybe they should do something about the Supervisors who force the workers to take children against their will, knowing full well that the children aren't being abused or neglected? If they weren't so busy investigating innocent families they may have had time to save these children. And if they had placed Brielle with her Grandmother, as she tried getting custody, that innocent little girl would be alive today. Maybe even a reform of ASFA would help. I don't think this Audit went back far enough. There are MANY past cases that would shock them.

State seeks balance in child protection statutes
State seeks balance in child protection statutes | New Hampshire:
BEDFORD - Bedford attorney Rus Rilee and his clients hope their public lawsuits over the state's handling of child abuse cases will provide momentum for changing the state's Child Protection Act to more aggressively promote child safety instead of its current emphasis on parental rights.
My Comment:
"For everyone who has a story to tell of children who should have been placed in Foster care, there are at least ten families where the children shouldn't have been removed to begin with. What is considered to be imminent danger? Is it a child whose mother was given morphine in labor and subsequently, the morphine spilled into the baby? Is it when a Mother walks into a Hospital and her daughter of 4 years old walks down three steps behind her, so the Mother is accused of being intoxicated, but blood tests proved no alcohol? There are way too many of these cases just as frivolous as these where parents and their families lost the children for good to Foster care and adoption. Where parents had no rights at all and NO Due process.State Rep. Dan Itse is right. Are any of you even aware that when proven false reports are called in against a parent or family member, that report STILL goes against the parent/family member for three years? A proven false report SHOULD be scrapped and never be brought up, but once in Court that doesn't happen. The reports STILL go against the accused and they're still treated as if they're guilty. So how much longer should these false reports hang over ones head?"

Grandparents of abused girls pushing for change in child protection laws
Grandparents of abused girls pushing for change in child protection laws | New Hampshire:
An aging couple from the Monadnock region, they never planned to be at the center of a controversy over the handling of child abuse cases in New Hampshire.
Instead of anticipating their retirement, they're preoccupied with the challenges of raising two young granddaughters, now their adopted daughters.
My Comment:
"How things have changed in ten years. The NH Legislature wouldn't have had to step in if so many parent's and grandparents hadn't been railroaded for so many years by DCYF and the Family Courts. Parent's and their families were ALWAYS considered guitly, even after being proven innocent. Treated worse than convicted criminals, never allowed to admit evidence of innocence into Court. Back then, a parent was never given a chance to fail. Children were taken from families for frivolous reason's, nothing like these horrendous acts of abuse of the children and the children never returned. DCYF could even look into the future and determine the child would be neglected in the future. The Judges sided with DCYF and bam, the child was taken from not only parents, but grandparents and other family member's as well. Relatives never considered for placement. Federal mandates never followed, which included services that were never provided for at risk families. These parent's should never have been allowed unsupervised visits. Parent's whose children were removed for frivolous reasons and proven, falsely accused parents didn't even get unsupervised visits. Their children never beaten or sexually abused. Nothing that even came close to the abuse of these children. Even parents who proved their innocence, only supervised visits and their children never returned. It's not that more caseworkers are needed. They need to do REAL investigations, which they didn't do in the past and they need to stop railroading innocent families and concentrate on the truly abused."

A Hidden Crisis: The Pipeline from Foster Care to Homelessness for LGBTQ Youth - The Chronicle of Social Change:
There are more than 400,000 youth in the American foster care system today, roughly that of the population of Sacramento, California. Foster care, created to protect the welfare of children, is a broken system, hobbled by an outdated bureaucracy, underfunded agencies, and overburdened workers frequently resulting in dire outcomes. Research shows thatchildren placed in foster care are more likely to develop Post-traumatic Stress Disorder than veterans of war. In some states, youth are just as likely to be abused in foster care as they are in the home from which they were removed. Foster care has also become a gateway into homelessness. Nearly half of the youth experiencing homelessness today have had at least one placement in a foster home, or group home.

For the first time in 39 years the Family First Act seeks to flip the funding pyramid right side up. Prevention funding has always been capped which means once it was gone it was gone until the next budget cycle. The FFA pulls funding from the adoption assistance program and uses it to fund prevention. Because this is Title IV-E entitlements there is no cap. States will actually be able to pay for prevention programs.

A new report prompted by lawsuits against the New Hampshire Division of Children, Youth and Families finds that state officials failed to respond to a massive increase in child abuse and neglect cases over the past four years.
My Comment:
DCYF wouldn't be in such a crisis if they would leave innocent families alone. They go after families for stupid reason's and leave the truly abused children alone. It is beyond me how DCYF could let Brielle and her siblings go home while their Mother had felony child abuse charges pending, but deny parent's their children when child abuse and neglect charges are dismissed in Criminal Court due to proof of evidence of innocence admitted into Criminal Court, but denied in Family Court.

The Suffering and Devastation Caused by Hillary and Hubby's Adoption and Safe Families Act of 1997
They say everyone makes mistakes, so why are REAL parent's singled out by the State Kidnappings of their children? Why is CPS/DCYF allowed to make mistakes with no repercussions? Why are Foster stranger's allowed to make mistakes with the children they hold hostage for the State with no repercussions? Even the Family Court Judges make mistakes, but they never admit to them. Even when innocence is proven, the children are never returned.
I don't understand the commercials on TV looking for Foster's that state, "You don't have to be perfect to raise a child." Then why do REAL parent's lose their children to the State for not being perfect? Isn't this a double standard? You bet it is.
Hillary claims to care so much about children, that the Act she wrote up and her hubby signed was designed to tear Biological families apart. Because they think the Govt. knows best how to raise our children. I heard she didn't even raise her own daughter. A Nanny did. How can she care about children when she lets the States tear them away from their REAL families? These children are left traumatized for life, many of them drugged. Many of them sexually abused.
Parent's are left with depression, PTSD, panic disorder's, substance abuse disorders and thoughts of committing suicide. These parent's are left devastated and so are their family member's.Their once happy world has been shattered, because they're not perfect in the eyes of the State. The sadness due to the loss of their children is too much to bear. They wander through life with no direction. They can't get out of the downward spiral they've been forced into. They can never get back everything they've lost and become more and more depressed. The once happy family is gone. They become just a shell. A shell that can no longer be productive in society. A shell that wander's aimlessly in pain.
This is how REAL parents and family members live their lives after losing their children. You call this living? The Adoption and Safe Families Act needs to be abolished. There is no incentive to keep families together. The only incentive is to tear them apart!

Letter: The real abusers are in the court system | INFORUM:
I know I'm painting a target on my back. I'm OK with that. Why? Because the truth will set you free. For those who know me, you know I require proof, not evidence, but proof. I love to play the devil's advocate, however, I have seen proof in the Tricia Taylor case that she and her children have not only been victims of domestic abuse, but also family court abuse.

Today is the 11th Year Anniversary of the Illegal State Kidnapping of my Granddaughter Isabella
Today is the day all the horrible memories come flooding back over the State kidnapping of my special Granddaughter Isabella.
Today should be a day to celebrate my Birthday, but somehow the State has a way of making one grieve on day's that should be celebrated. Making sure we remember the pain and suffering they've bestowed upon us. Why? Money, that's why!
Eleven long, painful years ago, Isabella was snatched from her Mother's arms, while my family stood and watched as the Illegal kidnapping by the State of NH took place. There was nothing we could do. All in tears, as we just couldn't fathom how our own Government could do such a horrible thing. Our Government, we are supposed to trust and look up to. The people who are supposed to be working for us, but definitely are working against us. The very people who elected them. This mass destruction of families is the fault of Hillary and her hubby, thanks to their Adoption and Safe Families Act of 1997. They've made it a contest for the States to steal children, paying them incentive money for every child stolen and adopted out. A very backward Act. Why not help families by paying the greedy States incentive money for each and every family kept together? No, they would rather pay their "chosen" Foster stranger's to raise our stolen children. Then pay them more to adopt them. When our stolen children learn the truth, that these so-called "parents" were paid to keep them from their families, there will be hell to pay. Real parent's don't get paid to raise their children. They raise them out of love.
Isabella will learn the truth some day. I can't wait. It will be a day the stranger's will never forget. A day they wished would never come. But mark my words, it will.
Isabella will also learn how the State screwed over her Grandparent's by not placing her with them before Foster care. A Federal mandate NH DCYF neglect's to abide by, but somehow get's away with.
She'll also learn how DCYF slandered her Grandmother and scared the stranger's into thinking her Grandmother would kidnap her from them. If I wanted to kidnap her and not abide by the Law, I would have kidnapped her from the Hospital, but unlike DCYF I abide by the Law. DCYF scared them so bad, I was never allowed to see her. We could have been friends like they promised if DCYF hadn't brainwashed them. So when Isabella finally comes home, the gloves will come off and she'll be told everything. She'll not longer believe their lies.
Hopefully next year I'll get my wish come true. To have Isabella home where she belongs.
We love you Isabella and always will.
Love, Grammy xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox
