Opioid epidemic presses grandparents into action | New Hampshire:
Michelle Martin of Bedford remembers the phone call she got nearly two years ago from her son: The state was removing his two children from the home.
"If you don't take them, they're going to someone we don't know," he told his mom.
She and her husband took them.
They now have legal guardianship of the children, a 6-year-old girl and 2-year-old boy.
It must be nice to be able to be able to have guardianship of your grandchildren. Not so long ago in NH that was NEVER the case. Foster care period!
