Pilot in Fort Bend and Montgomery counties seeks better outcomes

A two-year pilot program that aims to involve family members of children in foster care is launching in a pair of suburban Houston counties. Funded with more than $500,000 allocated by the Legislature, the Collaborative Family Engagement program works to identify and more effectively engage relatives who might offer support or, in some cases, a home to a child in foster care.
