ALBANY, N.Y. — New York's top court says a custodial parent can be convicted of kidnapping, rejecting the argument that it is impossible under state law.
The court, divided 4-3, is upholding Leo Leonard's convictions for kidnapping, burglary, weapon possession and child endangerment following a 2008 incident at the Hudson Valley home of his infant daughter's mother.
