Critics who call for reform of Lancaster County's criminal court system often point to its family court as a role model for efficiency.
The local family court adopted the "one family, one judge" concept in 2000, at the suggestion of a judicial task force.

It should be one Judge handling ALL Family Court cases. Not three or four and NOT Judges who sit on the same criminal cases as the parents either!
