Texas foster care system could see dramatic reform - YNN - Your News Now
Child welfare advocates have raised concerns about Texas' foster care system for years.
They say children are in foster care for too long, are moved through too many homes and are too often ejected from the system unprepared for adulthood.
Trista Miller says she grew up feeling like there was a dollar sign hanging over her head.
"It degenerates your self-confidence, your self-worth, if you feel all you're good for is providing payment to somebody else," she said.
