A Wish for All Grandparent's on Grandparent's Day 9/12/2010
This is a picture of Isabella and Grammie on 10/03/05. I should look happy, but knowing DCYF is on the way to steal her, all I have is sadness.
This is a picture of Austin and Grampie on one of the last visit's we had with him. Can you see the bond?
This is a picture of Austin and his sister Ally. Their last Christmas together at Grammie and Grampies house in 2005.
Wishing all grandparent's throughout our Nation a Happy Grandparent's Day. For the most fortunate of grandparent's who are able to see and spend time with their grandchildren today, please cherish every moment you can with the most precious of all God's creation's. Your grandchildren are truly special and I'm sure they feel the same way about you. A grandparent and grandchild's bond can never be broken, no matter the circumstance. Don't ever let your grandchildren forget you are there for them and alway's will be. Never forget to show them how precious they are. Give them a big hug and alway's show them how much you love and care about them. You are extremely blessed to be able to spend time with them. Thank God every day for these precious little beings. You don't know how lucky you are.
Some grandparent's aren't as fortunate and won't be seeing their grandchildren on grandparent's day. Some of these less fortunate grandparent's won't even be able to speak to their grandchildren today. Some of them don't even know where their grandchildren are, due to separation by Parental Alienation or child protective services and the judicial system, along with other different circumstances. The only thing these unfortunate grandparent's will be able to do is look at old pictures of their grandchildren and pray that they are being taken care of and remember all the good times they spent together, along with the love and happiness they shared. Hoping one day they'll re-unite, before it's too late. Hoping their grandchildren remember how much their grandparent's love them and how hard their grandparent's fought for their return.
So to all the Grandparent's out there, hug your grandchild today and let them know how special they are. Let them know they mean the world to you. Don't put it off. It may end up being too late.
To our special grandchildren; Austin, Ally and Isabella; We love you and miss you. You mean the world to us. We cherish every moment we spent with you and will never forget all the happiness we shared as a once happy family. We will alway's be here for you, no matter how long it takes. Please don't forget us. Somehow, I don't believe you will.
Love alway's Grammie and Grampie
